Machuca

Synopsis

Chile, 1973. Gonzalo Infante and Pedro Machuca are two eleven-year old boys who live in Santiago. The first lives in a wealthy neighborhood and the second in a poor illegal settlement a few blocks away. Their paths cross when a Catholic school implements a social integration program. Two worlds separated by a large invisible wall that some people hope to tear down in their desire to make dreams come true in an era full of hope.
